A weekend in Stockholm (Part 2)

Ready for day 2 ? One thing we are all looking for while visiting a city is to have a 360° view on the city. In Stockholm you have to go to the City Hall (Stadshuset), it’s really close to the old town (Gamla Stan) and the Centralstation (see the previous post :  here )You can also go to the City Hall by taking bus 3 (Bus stop: Stadshuset) or bus 62.

#4 The City Hall

The City Hall is one of the symbol of the city of Stockholm. The 106 meters tower and the City Hall itself are open for visits from May to September.  If you want more informationto visit the official website: here. The view from the Tower is really breathtaking. The Tower offers a 360° view on the city but you will have to climb it (a lift is available until half-way) but it only takes 10-15 minutes. The prices for the City Hall Tower are:

  • Adults: 100 SEK
  • Seniors (over 65 years old) and Students (with a student card): 80 SEK

Take a walk around the City Hall to enjoy the garden, the view on the city, on Gamla Stan and the boats ! There is a lot of statues and hidden elements outside so open your eyes.  Enjoy !

#5 Famous Churchs

After visitng the City Hall let’s go visit the two famous chuchs of Stockholm: the Tyska kyrkan – called the Deutsche Kirche and the Stockholm’s Cathedral – Storkyrkan. The first one have two organs and a lot of stained-glass windows. The second one have a really rich decoration, full of details and historical facts.

The time run so fast when you have a good time. Thank you Stockholm and see you for another travel !
