Hey everyone, when you think of Paris you think about the Eiffel tower, the Louvre, Montmartre,…and also about the famous palace of Versailles. The history of Louis XVI and the architecture of the gardens are truly a “Must see” if you come visit the capital. Versailles is not really far from the center of Paris, you can take the RER C (stops: Versailles – Château or Versailles Chantiers), if you want to know more click here. Before going to Versailles it’s better to check out the calendar for the events, the entrance for the gardens is free except when there is the Musical Gardens, check out the calendar before hand.
# 1 Hall of mirrors
The Palace of Versailles is divided by area and the visitors can follow a well-indicated path to discover the different rooms. It’s definitely my favourite room and I couldn’t help but to spend 20 minutes there. Take some time to enjoy the view on the gardens.
# 2 Musical Gardens
You will walk through the trees, copses and flowers to discover different fountains while listening to music (classical, like Jean -Baptiste LULLY). You have different paths that you can follow or you can just wander.
The gardens closed at 6:30 pm to preprare for the Fountain Night Show.
# 3 Fountain Night Show
You can enjoy the Royal Serenade in the hall of Mirrors (buy it seperately or with the Night Show). The show with the fireworks are really a must see (reserve online). The garden of Versailles is divided by area and the visitors can follow a well-indicated path to discover the different atmosphere. The Fireworks started at 10:50 pm and perfectly end the day !
I hope you will have an amazing day, the palace, the gardens, the fountains, the musics and the fireworks. Always wear good shoes and never stop discovering.
Travel well & Travel far !
